Originally developed as the perfect wood burning surface, basswood was chosen for this letterboard thanks to its clear appearance, free from most (but not all) naturally occurring characteristics. Each letterboard is unique in size, shape, and personality for creating sayings, quotes, and more using the included letter, number, and symbol set. It can be painted, decoupaged, stained, engraved, and wood burned. No chemicals are used in manufacturing our live edge letterboards, making them an excellent choice in your home and for DIY event decor. Proudly Made in America at Walnut Hollow in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, each letterboard is kiln-dried and sanded smooth. It's then inspected to ensure the natural bark edge has been well-maintained before careful shrink-wrapping. The width of each piece is 5/8 in. thick, 16 in. wide, 11 in.-13 in. tall.
