  1. To prepare wood for using the Stamping Points, use sandpaper to lightly sand surface.  Remove dust with paper towel.

  2. Before using Creative Versa-Tool™, read through and follow all safety precautions on packaging.  Attach Circle Stamp Point to tool.  Tighten with pliers.  Secure stand to hard surface with tape. Place tool on stand.  Plug into electric outlet, turn switch on, and heat for 4-5 minutes.  Practice on a scrap of wood before beginning project to get a feel for the tool.  Practice stamping to determine how long to leave on wood for a nice clear impression.

  3. Use a pencil to draw house numbers on front of Innkeeper Sign.  A stencil could also be used.

  4. Use Circle stamp to create house numbers by stamping over the pencil lines.  When complete, turn switch off and unplug tool to cool.  Remove Circle Stamp.

  5. Attach Flow Point.  Tighten with pliers and follow directions for use as stated above.  Use Flow Point to make a dot in each corner of the sign.  When complete, turn switch off and unplug tool to cool.  Remove Flow Point.

  6. Attach Star Stamp.  Follow directions stated above.  Use Star Stamp to create a border around edge of sign.  To make a continuous row of stars, stamp first star a short distance from corner dot, and then make the next stamp by overlapping the little mark on the right.  Practice this on a scrap of wood.  When border is complete, turn switch off and unplug tool.  Let cool.

  7. Apply wood sealer to entire wood surface.  Let dry.  Lightly sand to a smooth surface.  Remove dust with paper towel or soft cloth.

  8. Use paint brush to apply paint to outer beveled edge and back of sign.  Let dry and apply second coat if needed.  Be careful not to get paint onto front of sign.  Any little paint marks can be removed with a fine sandpaper.

  9. Use colored pencil that coordinates with paint to add color to house numbers.

  10. Apply 2-3 coats of exterior spray varnish.
