FABRIC CIRCLES

  • Sizzix® Big Shot and Dies: 4” Circle and Circles #2
  • BlumenthalLansing® Buttons, Favorite Findings™ Felt
  • Delta® Ceramcoat, Black
  • Duncan® Collage Pauge™ Matte, instant decoupage
  • Aleene’s® Fabric Fusion® glue
  • Fabric scraps – we used black and white prints, gingham,
    and solids
  • Black and white pearl cotton thread
  • Fine sandpaper
  • Fusible web
  • Iron
  • Paper towel
  • Small and large flat brush
  • Spray varnish

Instructions:

  1. To prepare Wood Panel for painting, use fine sandpaper to lightly sand wood surface. Remove dust with paper towel.

  2. Use large flat brush to apply Black acrylic paint to top and edges of Wood Panel. Let dry and apply second coat.

  3. Spray top of Panel with 2 coats of varnish, drying between coats.

  4. Use small flat brush with Collage Pauge to decoupage fabric to edges of Panel.

  5. Adhere fusible web using iron to wrong side of fabric scraps following manufactured instructions. Die cut all circles with Big Shot machine and dies.

  6. Fuse smaller circles to largest circle with iron.

  7. Thread pearl cotton through felt buttons. Tie square knots and clip threads.

  8. Use Fabric Fusion to glue large circles to Panel and felt buttons to centers of smallest circles.
