Instructions:
Lightly sand wood surface. Wipe off dust with paper towel. Use ruler to section off approximately 1” squares. Mark with pencil. Some will be a little larger to fit the space.
2. Before using the Creative HotMarks™, read all instructions and follow all safety precautions. Attach the Universal Point to Creative HotMarks™. Tighten with pliers. Use tape to secure stand to hard surface. Place Creative HotMarks™ on stand. Plug into electric outlet. Let heat 4 -5 minutes. Practice on a scrap of wood before beginning project.
3. Hold metal ruler on pencil lines and pull Universal Point across line. Continue all around Memory Frame. Unplug tool and let cool.
4. Attach Shading Point to Creative HotMarks™. Tighten with pliers. Let heat for 4 -5 minutes. Shade inner and outer edges of Memory Frame. Lightly shade lines made with Universal Point. Unplug tool and let cool.
5. Attach letter A to Creative HotMarks™. Tighten with pliers. Let heat 4-5 minutes. Refer to photo for placement. Stamp A in appropriate box. Unplug tool. When cool enough to handle, attach B and proceed around the frame until all letters and numbers are complete. Use asterisk in corner boxes. Unplug tool and let cool.
6. Use sponge brush to apply a light stain to entire wood surface. Remove any excess with paper towel. Let dry. Apply 2-3 coats of spray varnish.
7. With craft glue, attach white paper to inside of frame. Use glue stick to center 12”x12”paper over white paper. Using glue stick, mount photo onto slightly larger white paper. Do the same with two more colors of paper. Adhere mounted photo to center of frame.
8. Use the wooden end of a small brush dipped in white paint to add dots to background paper. Let dry
Note: Before you begin, the Creative HotMarks™ tool works best when used with the Walnut Hollow™ Tempered Glass Mat.
It will ensure that your work area will not be damaged from heat. Use masking tape to secure the Pen holder to the work surface.
Attach and tighten with pliers the Point you are going to use on the Creative HotMarks™. Plug Pen in and turn switch "on".
It usually takes 3-4 minutes for the Pen to heat. Remember when changing Points, they are hot and need pliers to remove or attach to the Creative HotMarks™.
After removing the hot Points, place them in the molded tray of the Tempered Glass Mat to cool.
