Noel Memory Frame and Tree Postcard

Materials:
- Walnut Hollow® Creative HotMarks™ #24422
- Walnut Hollow® HotStamps™ - Everyday Series I #26310
- Walnut Hollow® Square Postcard #26230
- Walnut Hollow® HotStamps™ Alphabet Set #25830
- Walnut Hollow® Memory Frame, Med #25391
- (1pc) 5" x 5" green striped paper
- (1pc) 2.5" x 1" red paper
- 1Yard of thin, red ribbon
- Green Paint
- Red Paint
Other supplies: paper craft glue, fine sandpaper, paint brush, scissors, fine-tip red marker, ruler

Instructions:
1. Before using the Creative HotMarks™, read all instructions and follow all safety precautions. Attach the letter "N" from the HotStamps™ Alphabet Set to the Creative HotMarks™. Tighten with pliers. Use tape to secure stand to hard surface. Place Creative HotMarks™ on stand.  Plug into electric outlet, turn "on", and let heat for 4-5 minutes.  Practice on a scrap of wood before beginning project.

2. Lightly sand the Memory Frame. Refer to photo for placement of HotStamps Alphabet and embellishments. Using Creative HotMarks™ with letter N, stamp onto edge of  Memory Frame. After using N stamp, turn tool "off" and let cool.  Repeat for all letters, as shown in photo.

3. Attach the Tree Stamp from the Creative HotStamps™ - Everyday Series I Set to the Creative HotMarks™. Turn tool "on" and allow to heat. Stamp Tree onto the Memory Frame, back of postcard, and red piece of paper, as shown in photo above. Turn tool "off", unplug, and let cool.

4. Attach green striped paper to front of the postcard using paper craft glue.

5. Using a scissors, cut a 3/4" slit about 1/8" from the edges of each side of of the red piece of paper. Make sure not to cut the boundaries of the paper.

6. Cut 10.75" inches of red ribbon. Slide the ribbon thru the slits on the red piece of paper and align on the postcard. Wrap the ribbon around the back of the card. Where they overlap, secure with glue. Glue the ribbon and paper to the post card in other areas to maintain its position.

7. Paint the outside and the front ledge of the Memory Frame green, being careful to avoid the stamped areas. Let dry.

8. Paint the interior of the Memory Frame red. Let dry.

9. Wrap a 12" piece of red ribbon along the bottom of the Memory Frame. Secure on back of frame with glue.

10. Write a message on the postcard using a fine-tip red marker.

11. Mount postcard to the inside of Memory Frame.
