Ribbon Accent Display Ledge

Materials:
-Walnut Hollow® Designed for Her™ Creative Drill™ #26443
-Walnut Hollow® Display Ledge – 12” #26483
-Paint
-Sheer Ribbon
-½” black flat head tacks (approximately 15)
Craft or fabric glue, flat brush, hammer, paper towel, pencil, ruler, sandpaper, scissors, spray varnish

Instructions:

  1. To prepare wood for painting, use fine sandpaper to lightly sand entire surface. Remove dust with paper towel or tack cloth. Use flat brush to apply paint to entire surface. Let dry. If necessary, apply second coat. Lightly sand between coats. When dry, apply 2-3 coats of spray varnish.
  2. Use ruler to measure ½” from top. Hold ruler in a straight line ½” from top and mark 15 holes across front of shelf with pencil. Remove ruler. Use Creative Drill™ to pre-drill holes ½” deep. Match drill bit size to size of tack. 
  3. Use scissors to cut sheer ribbon length of shelf. Use craft or fabric glue to attach ribbon over pre-drilled holes. Let dry.
  4. Use hammer to attach tacks into pre-drilled holes.
